Top 20 Arizona high school football players from the Class of 2021

Randall McDaniel, Darren Woodson and Steve Jordan, the father of Cameron, are three of the best from the Grand Canyon State, to ever play in the NFL.

From the Class of 2021, the top 20 players according to 247Sports, have the best shot to play on Sundays. Among them are five offensive linemen, and four are either quarterbacks or defensive backs.

Fourteen of the 20 have committed to FBS schools, with Oregon (four) the top destination followed by Cal and San Diego State (two each).

6-foot-4 | 270 pounds| offensive tackle | Oregon
Ranked the No. 13 tackle in the country, Walden has 26 offers but committed to the Ducks over such schools as Arizona and Arizona State, Auburn, Stanford and USC. "Balanced, athletic blocker with a mean streak," wrote 247Sports Mountain Region recruiting analyst Blair Angulo. "Flashes top tier reaction speed to offset even the quickest edge rushers."

2. Ty Thompson, Mesquite (Gilbert)
6-4 | 200 | QB | Oregon
Completed 250-of-424 passes last season for 4,074 yards and 45 touchdowns. He picked Oregon over 17 other offers, including Cal, Arizona, Arizona State, Duke, LSU and Wisconsin. He's ranked the No. 7 pro-style quarterback in the country and No. 92 overall. "Sets a balanced base and throws with complete control," Angulo said. "Elite arm strength, but also has the finesse to fit throws between defensive levels."

3. Quintin Somerville, Saguaro
6-1 | 230 | DE | Undecided
Has 112 career tackles over two seasons, 45 of them for loss, including 11.5 sacks. He has a reported 21 offers, with Florida State, Michigan, Vanderbilt and Washington as the schools he appears most interested in. Is rated the No. 14 defensive end in the country.

4. Denzel Burke, Saguaro
6-0 | 189 | ATH | Ohio State
A transfer from Brophy College Prep (Phoenix), Burke picked the Buckeyes over such schools as Auburn, LSU, Michigan State, Nebraska, Texas and UCLA. He plays both receiver and defensive back. "Has very good ball skills," Angulo wrote. "Speed makes him a threat to score from anywhere."

5. Jonah Miller, Sahuaro (Tucson)
6-7 | 260 | OT | Oregon
Ranked the No. 25 tackle in the country, Miller earned 15 scholarship offers, but picked the Ducks over Arizona and Arizona State, Florida, Nebraska, Tennessee and USC, among others. "Explodes off the snap and finishes plays through the whistle," Angulo wrote. "Nimble enough to pull and reach the second level." He transferred from Salpointe Catholic (Tuscon).

6. Steven Ortiz, Desert Edge (Goodyear)
5-11 | 170 | CB | Minnesota
The fourth-year lettermen has 171 career tackles with six interceptions and 11 pass deflections. "Stingy defender who thrives in one-on-one battles," Aunguolo wrote. "Very good ball skills." He picked Minnesota over 22 other offers, including Duke, CalOregon, Penn State and Washington.

7. Kai Millner, Higley (Gilbert)
6-2 | 188 | QB | Cal
The nation's No. 17 rated pro-style quarterback completed 172-of-268 last season for 2,387 yards and 31 touchdowns against six interceptions. He also rushed for 326 yards and eight more scores. He had options to play close to home at either Arizona or Arizona State, but picked the Bears also over Miami, Boise State, Michigan State and Syracuse.

8. Trey Reynolds, Queen Creek
6-2 | 235 | LB | Utah
A tremendous all-around athlete who also played quarterback and baseball, Reynolds had 159 tackles as a junior and forced four fumbles. He had 21 offers other than Utah, including Duke, Oregon, Oklahoma State and UCLA.

9. Brandon Buckner, Chandler
6-1 | 234 | LB | Oregon
In nine games last season, he had 16 sacks among his 53 tackles to go along with 10 hurries and three forced fumbles. He picked the Ducks over Arizona State, Arizona, Colorado and Fresno State, among others.

10. Hunter Barth, Queen Creek
6-2 | 200 | S | Cal
A three-sport standout, Barth has 115 career tackles to go along with 21 catches for 255 yards and a couple of touchdowns. He picked the Bears over 18 other offers, including Arizona, Boise State, Duke, Oregon, UCLA and Oklahoma State.

11. Krew Jackson, Queen Creek
6-5 | 200 | S | Undecided
A third Queen Creek standout, Jackson has 15 offers, but appears to be leaning toward Arizona State. Had 72 tackles last season with two interceptions and a fumble recovery. Other FBS schools that have made offers are Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, Iowa State and Pittsburgh.

12. Mikey Keene, Chandler
5-11 | 175 | QB | Undecided
A dual threat, Keene was extremely accurate last season, completing 193-of-265 for 2,835 yards and 23 touchdowns with just five interceptions. He led the Wolves to a 13-0 record and a state Open Division title. He has 13 college offers, including Hawaii, Eastern Michigan, Middle Tennessee State, Nevada and San Jose State.

13. Brock Dieu, Casteel (Queen Creek)
6-2 | 278 | OG | Washington State
Considered a relentless blocker with tenacity and toughness, Dieu has 17 offers, but picked the Cougars over Arizona State, Boise State, Oregon, Harvard and Cornell.

14. Stevie Rocker, Canyon del Oro (Tucson)
6-0 | 185 | RB | Undecided
A three-sport standout, Rocker also excels on the basketball court and in track and field. He has 1,534 career rushing yards with 13 touchdowns. He played just six games as a senior. He has offers from Arizona, BYU, Cal and Nevada.

15. Isaia Glass, Queen Creek
6-5 | 245 | OT | Undecided
With 15 solid offers, Glass should be a big contributor at the next level. Among the schools he's considering are Arizona, Colorado, Oregon State, Oklahoma State and Utah.

16. William Haskell Ironwood (Glendale)
6-4 | 200 | QB | San Diego State
Ranked the No. 38 dual threat quarterback in the country, Haskell accounted for almost 2,400 yards last season and 34 touchdowns. "Ultra athletic," Angulo said. "He has mobility and knack for extending plays. Shows touch on downfield throws and can hit targets deep."

17. Alani Ma'afu, Saguaro
6-3 | 265 | DT | Undecided
Has 136 tackles during a three-year career thus far, with 39.5 for loss including six sacks. Ma'afu has 10 college offers, including Hawaii, Iowa State, Memphis, San Diego State and Washington State.

18. Calden Miles, Centennial (Peoria, Ariz.)
6-4 | 290 | OT | UNLV
Committed to the Rebels on May 29 after also has offers from Air Force, Columbia and New Mexico State.

19. Darrion Dalton, Saguaro
6-2 | 255 | DT | San Diego State
Made a commitment to the Aztecs on June 1, even with nine other offers, including from Air Force, Army, Fordham, Idaho and UNLV.

20. Zion Burns, Poston Butte (San Tan Valley)
5-11 | 180 | S | Nevada
He's being recruited as a safety, although he was a highly productive running back in high school, with 1,542 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns in nine games as a senior. He also had 39 tackles and five pass deflections.
