What to watch: A challenging Division I state semifinal matchup for No. 11 Mountain Pointe. Desert Ridge has rolled to 11 consecutive victories since losing a hard-fought game (28-22) to nationally ranked Serra (Gardena, Calif.) on Aug. 31. Mountain Pointe (12-0) has barely broken a sweat in the hot desert air since its 28-21 season-opening win against No. 23 Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) on Aug. 23. The Pride have won their next 11 games by a whopping cumulative margin of 576-78.
