Video: Top recruits from the Class of 2018
247Sports comes out with the nation's top players from 2018 in order. Out with the old, in with the new.
Seems like just yesterday – OK, 12 days ago — we were reporting on all the 2017 top football recruits who signed their college choices on National Signing Day.
247Sports came out with their initial 2018 list and topping it is MaxPreps Junior Player of the Year
Trevor Lawrence, of
Cartersville (Ga.). The 6-foot-6 quarterback passed for nearly 4,000 yards and 51 touchdowns, leading his team to a second consecutive Georgia state title. He's 42-1 as a starter, passed more than 10,000 career yards and appears on the brink to break every state record set by Deshaun Watson.
James Cook, of
Central (Miami, Fla.), is a 5-star running back and the No. 20 player overall. The younger brother of Florida State career rushing leader Dalvin Cook, James Cook has averaged better than 8.0 yards per carry and 20 touchdowns in two seasons at Central. He's also committed to Florida State.
