Our Lady of Good Counsel comes off of back-to-back Washington Catholic Athletic Conference titles and could be more loaded than ever in 2011.
The Falcons boast blue-chip talent in all grades and at all positions. With a schedule that includes three out-of-state games, Good Counsel is poised to make a major statement nationally this season.
Running back
Wes Brown and receivers
Stefon Diggs,
Kendall Fuller and
Stefon Colbert highlight an offense that will be anchored by
Mike Madaras and featuring sophomores
Sam Mustipher and
Sam Madaras, both of whom already have Division I offers.
Defensively, the Falcons will be stout up front. Defensive linemen
Ryan Watson and
Roderick Chungong are space eaters. Mike Madaras will also see time there. The team's linebackers will be led by
Reggie McGee, but will feature a number of players who saw quality minutes last season, including
Dorian O'Daniel,
Michael Nicastro and
Drew Stefanelli, the team's starting fullback.
The secondary could be truly special, as Diggs will be joined by returning cornerback
Kirk Garner and gifted sophomore
Kobe Walker, making it bona fide strength for the Falcons.
If new quarterback
Brendan "Whitey" Marshall learns quickly, Good Counsel will run the table against some very stiff competition.
