Tashawn Bower, who began the day committed to Auburn, eventually signed with LSU after flirting with Florida.
The 6-foot-5, 230-pound senior made a verbal pledge to Auburn during the summer. However, after the coaching change Bower seemed to reevaluate his options while never officially decommitting from Auburn.
According to Bower's 247Sports timeline, he made official visits to both Florida and Florida State in January. However, the buzz around
Immaculata (Somerville, N.J.) as recently as Tuesday indicated Bower would sign with Auburn.
That changed around 7:30 a.m. EST when rumors began to swirl that Bower would be signing with Florida.
However, that National Letter of Intent never arrived in Gainesville, and Bower tweeted that he had not signed anywhere. Hours later, Bower posed for a picture in an LSU cap.
To add to the day's drama, Bower did not sign right away, fueling further speculation as to his landing spot.
Bower's National Letter of Intent finally arrived in Baton Rouge around Noon EST, officially joining a recruiting class that features fellow defensive linemen
Maquedius Bain,
Frank Herron and
Greg Gilmore.
