2010 notes: The Cowboys expect to ride a powerful rushing game to a successful season. RB McDaniel (201-1,278, 23 TDs rushing; 63-618, 7 TDs receiving) is a workhorse, and his entire offensive line returns, led by OL Sam Rice, an '09 all-district pick. McDaniel will take pressure off new QB Joe Minden, whose favorite target should be WR Landis (63-770, 5 TDs). The defense is less settled but should be effective behind the leadership of DE Tanner Rice (88 tackles, 12 sacks) and OLB Mullins (73 tackles, 8 sacks). The secondary is in good shape with CB Okotcha and S Busby.
