They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 79-78 to Friendship Collegiate Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Wednesday (70), East New York Family Academy still had to take the loss.
Friendship Collegiate Academy had a senior duo take command as Keyon Starkey-webb scored 27 points along with six assists and five rebounds and Michael Jeter scored 23 points along with two steals. Starkey-webb is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Kameron Grant was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 12 rebounds and three blocks.
East New York Family Academy's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-4. As for Friendship Collegiate Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season.
East New York Family Academy will be playing at home against Brooklyn College Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Brooklyn College Academy is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Friendship Collegiate Academy, they will take on KIPP College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
