Football Recap: Laguna Creek Comes Up Short Against Placer + How To Watch

The Laguna Creek Cardinals were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 34-28 to the Placer Hillmen.

Placer got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jesiah Aday out in front who rushed for 216 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries. Isaiah Caminiti was another key rusher, rushing for 136 yards and 2 scores while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.

Laguna Creek now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Placer, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Laguna Creek will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pleasant Grove at 7:15 p.m. on the 25th. This will be the Cardinals' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Placer, they will welcome Rio Linda at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
