BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - the Drillers scored 23 points in the second quarter to secure a big 44-21 victory over
Clovis West (Fresno, Calif.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown in the first quarter, Bakersfield led 37-7 at the half.
BHS expanded its lead to 36 points entering the fourth quarter. The Drillers' lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown.
With the win Bakersfield extended its winning streak to seven games. Bakersfield defeated Stockdale 37-6 last week.
The defeat comes as a step back for Clovis West, who notched a 44-12 victory over Stockdale in its previous outing.
