Brownstown Central is 8-2 against Borden since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Brownstown Central will welcome Borden at 5:30 p.m. Brownstown Central will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
Brownstown Central proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 11) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Salem 5-3.

The team relied heavily on Jaxson Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Isaac Hampton also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Borden). They were the clear victors by a 17-5 margin over New Washington on Thursday. Considering the Braves have won three contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Jayden Gardner made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Michael McVoy was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was James McVoy, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
Borden was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .538. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Brownstown Central's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Borden, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Brownstown Central was able to grind out a solid win over Borden in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, winning 4-1. Will Brownstown Central repeat their success, or does Borden has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
