East New York Family Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. That makes it six consecutive games in which Mercado has scored at least 25% of East New York Family Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Olivia Eugene, who scored 15 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
East New York Family Academy's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points per game. As for Brooklyn Tech, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
East New York Family Academy will head out on the road to face off against Fort Hamilton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Brooklyn Tech, they will be playing at home against New Utrecht at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
