Darien Bryant of North (Pickerington), one of the top tight ends remaining in the 2011 recruiting class, has made his college decision.
After sifting through 19 Division I scholarship offers, Bryant told the University of Nebraska on Thursday afternoon that he'd be signing a letter of intent with the school next February.
Bryant, who also took official visits to North Carolina and Hawaii, is a 6-foot-4, 220-pound senior who starred at defensive end and tight end for the Panthers as a senior.
Bryant was born near the West Virginia campus and was offered by the Mountaineers in November but said that he chose Nebraska because he "could see that they really wanted me."
"I got an in-house visit last week and the tight ends coach came to see me at school (Thursday)," Bryant said. "Coach (Bo) Pelini was the only that came for an in-house visit and they talked to me once a week."
Other schools which offered Bryant were Purdue, Illinois, Michigan and Michigan State from the Big Ten, Maryland and Duke from the ACC and Kansas from the Big 12.
