It had been over 30 years since De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) lost to a team from Northern California but that streak is over now as Saint Francis (Mountain View, Calif.) took down the Spartans 31-28. In one of the biggest games of the weekend Milton (Ga.) snapped No. 15 St. Joseph's Prep's (Philadelphia) 18-game winning streak with a 28-21 win. The Eagles are currently ranked at No. 43 and are inching closer to re-joining the MaxPreps Top 25 high school football rankings. After dropping a game against North Cobb (Kennesaw, Ga.) they have won two games in a row and improved to 3-1 on the season.
No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) continued its dominance and snapped Liberty's (Henderson, Nev.) 13-game winning streak with a 49-7 win in Las Vegas at the Polynesian Football Classic. The Monarchs improved to 10-0 in out-of-state matchups during the MaxPreps era and have outscored their first two opponents 94-10 this season. Sophomore quarterback

No. 3 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) kept the momentum going for the Trinity League as the Braves beat East St. Louis (Ill.) 42-26 to improve to 4-0. They have outscored their first four opponents 148-48.
No. 11 Servite (Anaheim, Calif.) improved to 4-0 on Thursday with a one-sided 58-7 win over Bishop Amat (La Puente, Calif.). The three Trinity League teams in the MaxPreps Top 25 high school football rankings have not trailed at any point during the 2021 season so far.
No. 22 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) bounced back in a big way after losing to Jesuit (Tampa, Fla.) last week and knocked off American Heritage (Plantation, Fla.) 24-16 to improve to 2-1.
No. 14 Chandler (Ariz.) won its 38th consecutive game with a 17-7 win over the back-to-back 5A state champs Cherry Creek (Greenwood Village, Colo.) in a huge out-of-state matchup.
Travis Hunter and No. 8 Collins Hill (Suwanee, Ga.) got a statement win and handed Rome (Ga.) its first loss of the season with a 34-0 victory.
