Bronny James returned to Ohio to face the school his father made famous. And it was Bronny who hit a bucket late in the game to give Sierra Canyon a 57-56 lead. The Trailblazers went onto win 59-56 in the Ohio Play By Play Classic.
The 6-foot-2 freshman put together his best performance of the season by far, taking home MVP honors after finishing with a career-high 15 points on 7 of 10 shooting off the bench.
Originally scheduled to be played on St. Vincent-St. Mary's home floor, the game has been moved two hours away to 19,000-seat Nationwide Arena in Columbus in order to meet ticket demand.
LeBron has previously been unable to attend any Sierra Canyon games this season due to a rigorous NBA travel schedule.
Turning the clock back approximately 20 years, LeBron James led St. Vincent-St. Mary to its most successful four-year run in program history from 2000-03 as the Fighting Irish went 101-6 with three state titles and one national championship.
