April 16th marked the first time the MaxPreps Tour of Champions Presented by the Army National Guard honored a team from Los Angeles...Fairfax High was our school.
The second of two outdoor ceremonies in southern California that day, MaxPreps and the Guard were on-site to honor the Fairfax Lions as part of the Tour of Champions. Taking place in the main quad at Fairfax High School, the ceremony got off to an exciting start thanks to the Fairfax High cheerleading team. Next up, the Lions were introduced and MaxPreps' Chris Stonebreaker let the crowd know that Fairfax was one of our top teams all season. Following the presentation of the MaxPreps Tour of Champions National Rankings Trophy, each player was given an Army National Guard basketball for their accomplishments this season.
In all, the student body offered tremendous support for Coach Harvey Kitani and the Lions...MaxPreps' number 5 team in America.
