One team took the elevator way up and another took it way down in the power rankings this week. Among the action were the efforts of Harrison's junior Gabe Huskey, an offensive menace who scored five total TDs.
Can't Touch This
Harrison got a 42 - 7 win over Siloam Springs last week, and a key reason for the win was junior Gabe Huskey. Huskey ran for 174 yards and also punched in four touchdowns. That performance landed Huskey among the top power-ranked players for the week.
Movin on Up
The MaxPreps rankings indicated that Searcy would come out the decided victor last week, and the rankings were spot on. It breezed past Batesville with a final score of 40 - 15. One star in particular for Searcy was senior Tony Young, who rushed for 167 yards and three touchdowns. The team's efforts were enough to boost its power ranking by six, which was the most sizeable gain made by any team in the rankings.
No Stoppin 'Em
Despite turning the ball over three last game, Pulaski Academy still found its way to the outcome it desired. It took its game against Ridgeway by a confident 56 - 35 score. Pulaski Academy especially relied on junior Braden Bratcher, who tossed the ball for 430 yards and four TDs, and senior Brendan Halpin, who earned two touchdowns and 126 yards rushing the ball. At 91 total points, this was the highest scoring power ranking game of the week.
