California leads the MaxPreps Preseason All-American Softball Team with 13 players, while Texas has five and Alabama four.
In all, 21 states are represented on the 50-player team. Virginia, Illinois and Louisiana each had three players named.
One team, Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, Va.), had two players named Preseason All-American: pitcher Tori Finucane (first team) and catcher Jillian Ferraro (second team).
The team features 34 seniors,15 juniors and one sophomore — catcher Maddie McCracken of North (Olathe, Kan.). She has committed to Notre Dame.

of the Year in 2012 and has committed to Arizona State.

P - Casey Stangel, Lake City (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho), SeniorThe MaxPreps All-American is a two-time Idaho Gatorade State Player of the Year. She has signed with Missouri.
Stats: 22-2 record, 0.37 ERA, 218 strikeouts in 132.1 innings pitched, .558 batting average, 11 home runs, 59 RBIs and 1.250 slugging pct.
P - Kelsee Selman, Hudson (Lufkin, Texas), SeniorNamed a MaxPreps All-American and to the Texas Girls Softball Coaches Association All-State Team and State Tournament MVP, Selman has committed to LSU. 
Stats: 36-3 record, 0.62 ERA, 246.2 innings pitched, 446 strikeouts, 41 walks, .361 batting average, 12 doubles, 38 RBIs.
P - Tori Finucane, Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, Va.), SeniorThe MaxPreps All-American, Gatorade State Player of the Year and Washington Post All-Met Team member has committed to Missouri. 
Stats: 27-1 record, 0.09 ERA, 332 strikeouts, 161 IP, 22 BB, .363 batting average and 25 RBIs.
P - Madi Schreyer, Woodinville (Wash.), SeniorThe MaxPreps All-American and Gatorade State Player of the Year was also the Seattle Times All-Area Player of the Year. She has committed to Stanford.
Stats: 21-0 record, 0.28 ERA, 189 strikeouts, 123 innings pitched, 33 walks.
P - Samantha Martin, Chiles (Tallahassee, Fla.), SeniorMartin was MaxPreps All-American, Tallahassee Big Bend Player of the Year and Florida Dairy Farmers Class 7A State Player of the Year. She will play at College of Charleston.
Stats: 19-1 record, 190 strikeouts, 0.96 ERA. 
P - Shannon Smith, Milford (Mass.), SeniorThe Gatorade State Player of Year, Smith is Kentucky bound. 
Stats: 359 batters in 169 innings with a 0.08 ERA. In all, she had nine no-hitters, five perfect games and seven one-hit games. Batted .460, seven homers, .905 slugging pct.

Fira was a MaxPreps All-American, on the Dallas Morning News All-Area Team and a Texas Girls Coaches Association All-State Team pick. She has committed to UT-Arlington.
Stats: .482 batting average, 50 runs, 70 RBIs, and 15 home runs.
C - Sahvanna Jaquish, Redlands East Valley (Calif.), SeniorA Maxpreps All-American, Southern Section All-Division I selection and Citrus Belt League MVP, Jaquish has committed to LSU. 
Stats: .565 batting average, 36 runs, 24 RBIs, 10 doubles, seven triples, three home runs.
C - Maddie McCracken, North (Olathe, Kan.), SophomoreA Kansas Coaches Association Class 6A All-State Team selection and NFCA Academic All-American, McCracken has committed to Notre Dame.
INF - Heather Bowen, Centennial (Las Vegas), Junior Gatorade State Player of the Year and Class 4A All-State Team as a sophomore.
Stats: .480 batting average, 54 RBIs, 18 doubles, 60 runs, 16 home runs.
INF - Kylie Howard, John Marshall (Glen Dale, W. Va.), SeniorGatorade State Player of the Year. Howard led team to 35-4 and state title AAA class.
Stats: .475 BA, 52 runs, five homers, 15 doubles, eight triples, 55 RBIs. She is a three-time first team all-state player.
INF - Meredith Burroughs, C.B. Aycock (Pikeville, N.C.), Junior As a sophomore, she was was the District 2-3A Player of the Year and a member of the North Carolina Coaches Association All-State Team.
Stats: .545 batting average, 19 home runs, 48 RBIs, six doubles, 48 runs.
INF - Kasey Cooper, Dothan (Ala.), SeniorCooper was first team Alabama All-Super State Team and Alabama Class 6A State Player of the Year. She has signed with Auburn.
Stats: .599 average, 19 home runs, 58 RBIs, 72 runs, 32 doubles, 34 stolen bases, 28-11 record, 0.99 ERA, 344 strikeouts, 233.1 innings pitched, 16 shutouts, five no-hitters.
INF - Taurie Pogue, Mountain View (Meridian, Idaho), Junior As a sophomore, the All-State Pogue led the Mavericks to a third-place finish at state. She has committed to Cal.
Stats: .551 batting average, 18 doubles, 12 home runs, 39 RBIs.

Runyon was named The Toast of the Coast Softball Player of the Year by The Sun News. She has signed with Alabama. 
Stats: .556 batting average, 40 RBIs, 30 runs and .975 slugging pct.
INF - Gabrielle Maurice, Johansen (Modesto, Calif.), SeniorNamed Modesto Bee Player of Year, Maurice has signed with UCLA. 
Stats: 18 stolen bases, 27 RBIs, 10 doubles, four triples, nine home runs, batted .614 and scored 36 runs. 
OF - Maeve McGuire, Benet Academy (Lisle, Ill.), Senior McGuire was the Chicago Sun Times All-Area MVP and has committed to Georgia. 
Stats: .528 batting average, 65 hits, 59 runs, 24 doubles, 16 HR, 48 RBIs.
OF - Jazmyn Jackson, Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.), Junior As a sophomore, Jackson was San Jose Mercury News All-Area First Team and West Catholic Athletic League MVP.  She has committed to Cal.
Stats: .551 batting average, 37 runs, 31 RBIs, 11 doubles, five triples, three home runs.
OF - Nicole Pendley, Rio Rancho (N.M.), Junior As a sophomore, Pendley was first team New Mexico Class 5A All-State Team. She has committed to Arizona.
Stats: .568 batting average, eight doubles, 11 triples, nine home runs, 34 RBIs, 42 stolen bases.
OF - Hannah Cookson, Crescenta Valley (La Crescenta, Calif.), JuniorThe Southern Section All-Division III Team member has committed to Long Beach State.
Stats: .731 batting average, 53 RBIs, five doubles, five triples, 16 home runs.
UTIL - Baylee Corbello, Sam Houston (Lake Charles, La.), SeniorThe state's Gatorade Player of the Year and Class 5A Player of the Year, Corbello has committed to UL Lafayette.
Stats: 23-4 record, 337 strikeouts, 179 IP, 0.86 ERA, .496 batting average, 39 RBIs, three home runs.

Hoover was the Gatorade State Player of the Year and AAA Pitcher of the Year. She was also a MaxPreps Volleyball All-American and has committed to Stanford for softball.
Stats: 16-4 record, 138.2 innings pitched, 0.50 ERA, 296 strikeouts, .475 batting average, seven home runs, 34 runs, 59 walks.
UTIL - Allison Stewart, Olathe East (Kan.), JuniorKansas Coaches Association Class 6A All-State Team and state Gatorade Player of the Year. Stewart has committed to the University of Arkansas.
Stats: 13-0 record, 0.20 ERA, 118 strikeouts, 69.1 innings pitched, .532 batting average, 52 RBIs, five home runs. 
UTIL - Kenedy Urbany, O'Connor (Helotes, Texas), SeniorSan Antonio News Express Player of the Year and a Texas Girls Coaches Association All-State selection, Urbany has committed to Stephen F. Austin.
Stats: 30-3, 0.90 ERA, 259 strikeouts, 210 innings pitched, .477 batting average, four triples, four home runs, 15 doubles, 60 RBIs.
