Showdowns looming this week include No. 3 Bellarmine (San Jose) taking on No. 5 Serra (San Mateo) in a West Catholic Athletic League opener, and No. 10 St. Mary's (Stockton) playing No. 13 Del Oro (Loomis) in a nonleague contest.

MaxPreps Northern California Top 25 Football Rankings1. (1) De La Salle (Concord) (5-0)The Spartans beat San Ramon Valley (Danville) 47-21 behind 655 yards of offense, including 467 on the ground. The winning streak against California teams is 60 and the unbeaten streak against Northern California teams is now 246, dating back to 1991.

2. (2) Folsom (5-0)The Bulldogs rolled Monterey Trail (Elk Grove) 49-21 after leading 42-7 at the half.
Jake Browning passed for 361 yards and six touchdowns, four to
Troy Knox, and
Bailey Laolagi rushed for 78 yards and a score. Folsom aims to repeat as Delta River League and Sac-Joaquin Section champions.

The Thundering Herd beat Nevada Union (Grass Valley) 43-0, ending a state-record 344-game scoring streak for the Miners, dating back to the opening night of the 1984 season.
Elijah Jones rushed for 105 yards and a score and
Spencer Sheff went for 138 and three.

5. (5) Serra (San Mateo) (2-1)The Padres beat Buhach Colony (Atwater) 48-15 despite losing starting quarterback
Matthew Fa'aita to a shoulder. In his place,
Anthony Smock passed for 155 yards and two touchdowns. The loss was 21-14 to De La Salle.

6. (6) Pleasant Grove (Elk Grove) (5-0)The Eagles blasted previously ranked Pitman (Turlock) 42-7 as
Ian Broom returned to health and rushed for 117 yards and a score and
Deaundre Terrell completed 15 of 19 passes for 258 yards and four touchdowns, three to
Wyatt Demps.

Jacob Sipes took over for a banged-up

8. (10) Granite Bay (3-1)The Grizzlies beat previous No. 17 Pittsburg 39-35 as
Josh Neal passed for 313 yards and four touchdowns, hitting

9. (9) Marin Catholic (Kentfield) (5-0)The Wildcats are roaring again and clear favorites to take the Marin County League, and perhaps make another Division III state bowl run after rolling Terra Linda (San Rafael) 45-6 in scoring 42 or more points four times.

10. (10) St. Mary's (Stockton) (3-1)The Rams beat Lincoln (Stockton) 22-8 as
Kaleb Parrish tossed a touchdown pass and his teammates rushed for 178 yards.

11. (11) Archbishop Mitty (San Jose) (3-0)The Monarchs were idle. In their last game, they rolled previous No. 4 Palo Alto 34-14 behind backup QB
Brett Foley, who rushed for 142 yards and scored on a 60-yard run on his first play. Foley is a 6-3, 218-pound junior. Next is the West Catholic Athletic League that includes Bellarmine, Serra and Valley Christian, all ranked.

12. (12) Campolindo (Moraga) (5-0)The Cougars beat Acalanes (Lafayette) 24-14 as
Andrew Zolintakis passed for 199 yards and a touchdown, and
Adam Remotto rushed for 47 yards and two scores.

13. (13) Del Oro (Loomis) (2-2)The Golden Eagles beat previous No. 14 Grant (Sacramento) 38-35 in double overtime on a
Mason Humes field goal.
Michael Moore passed for 223 yards and four touchdowns, three to
Jonathon Tuttle.
Dylan Kainrath rushed for 87 yards and a score and
Tanner Woods had a key fourth-down stop in the second OT to set up Humes.

14. (16) Clayton Valley Charter (Concord) (3-1)The Eagles rolled Skyline (Oakland) 62-0, having allowed seven or fewer points three times since opening with a 34-14 loss to No. 1 De La Salle. RB

James Houston rushed for two scores and
Keilan Benjamin tossed four touchdowns, two to

17. (14) Grant (Sacramento) (3-2)The Pacers lost 38-35 in double overtime to No. 13 Del Oro (Loomis) despite another big rushing night for

18. (20) Foothill (Pleasanton) (5-0)The Falcons beat Livermore 51-14, and only the defense was mildly disappointed. This was a season-high in points allowed after allowing exactly six in each of the first four games.

19. (21) California (San Ramon) (3-1)The Grizzlies beat 3-1 Granada (Livermore) 16-14. The loss was 35-33 to Pittsburg.

Mark Quinby rushed for 199 yards and three touchdowns.

23. (17) Pittsburg (3-2)Despite another monster game by
Harris Ross, the Pirates fell to No. 8 Granite Bay 39-35. Ross rushed for 297 yards on 22 carries with scoring runs of 66, 59 and 72 yards.

24. (25) Logan (Union City) (4-1)The Colts beat Berkeley 26-7, the third time they have allowed seven or fewer points in a game this season.

25. (25) Central Catholic (Modesto) (4-1)The Raiders rolled Livingston 65-8 in rushing for 251 yards on 22 carries (11.4 yards per attempt).
Matt Ringer went for 118 and two scores, and
