The Kirk Herbstreit Varsity Football Series is returning to Ohio Stadium and will once again bring a top Florida powerhouse to the Buckeye State.
After featuring St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) in 2008 and 2009, the 2010 showcase event will include defending 4A state champion Dwyer (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) in a matchup against Glenville (Cleveland, Ohio).
Dwyer loses MaxPreps All-American Matt Elam but returns quarterback Jacoby Brissett and tight end Nick O'Leary.

There will be plenty of talent on the opposite sideline as Glenville returns a host of college prospects including Andre Sturdivant, Aundrey Walker and Shane Wynn.
In the other game scheduled for Monday, Sept. 6, Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, Va.), one of the most successful Virginia programs in recent years, will take on Pickerington Central (Pickerington, Ohio), which finished 10-2 last season. The contest will have a home feeling for Pickerington Central, located approximately 20 miles from the stadium.
Sunday's action will include two all-Ohio battles, highlighted by a matchup between Wayne (Huber Heights, Ohio) and McKinley (Canton, Ohio). Highly-coveted quarterback Braxton Miller will lead the way for Wayne while trying to elude McKinley defensive end Steve Miller, an Ohio State verbal commitment.
A matchup between Dublin Coffman (Dublin, Ohio) and Westerville South (Westerville, Ohio) will kick off the event Sunday. That game is a rematch of last year's regional semifinal won by Dublin Coffman, 21-19.
"Ohio Stadium and the city of Columbus welcomed the Varsity Football Series with open arms last year,” event namesake Kirk Herbstreit said via press release. “We are looking forward to putting on another great show in 2010."
