The WIAA girls basketball playoffs begin Tuesday, Feb. 24, with the state tournament March 12-14 at the Resch Center in Green Bay.

The Ramblers, ranked No. 2 in the latest MaxPreps/WBCA Coaches Poll, are looking for their seventh WIAA state tournament appearance. Headlining the roster is Division I prospect EllaMay Cooper, who averages 24.6 points per game. Other key contributors include Gemma Gardow, Izzy Reichart, and Evelyn Borcherding. Regis enters the postseason winners of 13 of its last 14 games, with the lone loss in that span coming against Neillsville (49-31) to close the regular season. The Ramblers defeated Neillsville 61-48 in their first meeting of the season, and could meet again in a sectional semifinal.

The Warriors, No. 4 in the coaches poll, enter the postseason on a 15-game winning streak, including Regis in the Cloverbelt Championship game on Saturday, which handed them their lone loss of the season back in December. Madi Davel highlights the roster for Neillsville, tallying 18 points per game. Other key players include Eden Marg and Braelyn Anding. The Warriors have reached the state tournament six times in program history, all under WBCA Hall of Fame head coach John Gaier.

McDonell Central (19-5)
Fall Creek recently picked up a win over Colfax (57-48), which has been in the coaches poll rankings all season. Michigan Tech signee Jasmin Heuer leads the way for the Crickets.
McDonell Central has won five of its last seven games, with the only losses in that span coming against Regis (66-49) and Cameron (59-56).

Other key contributors for WBCA Hall of Fame head coach Jeff Chew and the Zephryrs include Luci Nackers and Gabby Guerrero. St. Mary Catholic, ranked No. 3 in the coaches poll, could meet Manitowoc Lutheran in a sectional final, which they defeated twice in the regular season (47-39, 55-46).

The Lancers, No. 9 in the MaxPreps/WBCA Coaches Poll, enter the postseason winners of eight of their last nine games, with the lone loss in that span coming against St. Mary Catholic (55-46). Highlighting the team for Manitowoc Lutheran are Makiah Krause and Marissa Melhorn, who average 17.3 and 14.3 points per game, respectively.
Sleepers: Kewaunee (19-5),
Stratford (18-5)
Kewaune has won seven of its last eight games. Jade Kroll headlines the roster, tallying 23 points per game.
Stratford split games against Marathon (W, 67-57, L 51-46) in the regular season and could meet in a regional final. Carly Pankratz leads the Tigers in scoring with 13.8 points per contest.

Other key players include Mia Haberkorn and Brecklyn Drobac.
Top contender: Albany/Monticello
Albany/Monticello reached the state tournament two years ago, winning the Division 5 state championship. The Space Stallions' only losses this season have come against Six Rivers East foes Argyle/Pecatonica (42-38) and Barneveld (55-49). Heidi Olson and Molly Olson lead the way for Albany/Monticello, tallying 16.9 and 13.4 points per game, respectively.

Darlington has won five of its last seven games. Maddie Gratz leads the team with 13.3 points per game.

Dominican has won 16 of its last 17 games, with the loss coming against Pius XI Catholic (61-40) to wrap up the regular season. Brooklyn Love highlights the roster for the Knights, tallying 16.6 points per contest. Other key players include Laylah Bly (13 PPG) and Angelina Reyes (10.9 PPG). Dominican could meet Metro Classic foe Kenosha St. Joseph in a sectional semifinal, a team they swept in the regular season (57-49, 50-44).

The Prairie School (13-11)
Lomira finished second in the Flyway, behind Laconia, which is ranked in Division 3. Josie Christian headlines the squad, averaging 26 points per contest.
The Prairie School has reached the state tournament in each of the past two seasons. They are led by Amiyah Galica, who tallies 11.5 points per game.
