The weekend's wildest games included a pair of rushing records with Sean Fitzsimmons of Empire setting a state record for rushing yards in a game and Nathan Lancaster setting an Orange County (Calif.) rushing record.
Weekend's Wildest High School Football Games

Sean Fitzsimmons set a state record with 516 yards rushing in Empire's win. He also scored six touchdowns on only 29 carries. Teammate
Chance Hatfield ran for 240 yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries and Empire had 840 yards rushing as a team. For Catalina,
Jeremiah Wilcoxen threw for 315 yards and four scores.
Midland (Texas) 63
Coronado (Lubbock, Texas) 55Ryan Goodrum completed 18 of 19 passes for 418 yards and five touchdowns and also ran for a score in Midland's victory.
Robert Lee did most of the damage for Coronado as he gained 261 yards on 16 carries with four touchdowns.

Laguna Beach (Laguna Beach, Calif.) 56
Nathan Lancaster had a huge night in defeat for Laguna Beach as he carried 30 times for 547 yards and seven touchdowns. His yardage total set an Orange County record. Calvary Chapel got the win, however, behind
Danny Mattero's 506-yard passing effort that included five touchdowns. Mattero hit
Luke Buran with the game-winning pass in overtime.
Kentlake (Kent, Wash.) 62
Tahoma (Kent, Wash.) 56
Shane Nelson completed 36 of 52 passes for 508 yards and seven touchdowns in Tahoma's loss to Kentlake.
Deshon Williams caught 13 of the passes for 287 yards and five touchdowns.
Lampasas (Texas) 61
Brownwood (Texas) 56
Lampasas rushed for 478 yards but scored the winning touchdown on a 55-yard screen pass with 39 seconds left against Brownwood.
Steven Jazdyk led Lampasas, which lost in overtime 58-57 last week to Llano, with 299 yards on 27 carries and six touchdowns. For Brownwood,
Chris Keesee completed 25 of 34 passes for 315 yards and two touchdowns while Braxton Kilgo ran 29 times for 197 yards and four touchdowns.

Shea Holebrook with 1.1 second left in the game to lift Ossining over John Jay. John Jay had taken the lead just seconds before on a 22-yard scoring run by

Ryan Lee ran for 351 yards and four touchdowns while Skluth added 248 with three touchdowns. Davidov led Ossining by completing 11 of 21 passes for 231 yards and five touchdowns.

The two teams had a wild finish that saw four touchdowns scored in the final minute and a half.
Nathan Cummings tied the game for Festus with a 2-yard run, but Central regained the lead with an 80-yard pass from
Dennis Vinson to

Travis Spraul returned the ensuing kickoff 94 yards for the tying touchdowns, but Vinson found
Mikey Jones for an 89-yard touchdown pass with seven seconds remaining in the game for the win. Vinson completed just four of six passes for 211 yards, but Jones ran 31 times for 215 yards and
Braion Owens ran 16 times for 203 yards.

The two teams combined for 49 points in the fourth quarter, but Ridgewood picked up the win behind
Glass Wilson, who had 327 yards rushing and three touchdowns. For Gulf,
Avery Welch had 141 yards passing, 126 yards rushing and four touchdowns.

Lee drove 80 yards in the final 1:30 and scored the game-winner on a 41-yard pass from

Trey LeBlanc completed 10 of 15 passes for 200 yards and three touchdowns for Mesquite.
Shadavian Reed added 261 yards rushing with three touchdowns on 18 carries for Lee.

Soldotna edged Juneau Douglas in the Alaska medium school state championship game with
Colton Young rushing 23 times for 264 yards and two scores and
Drew Gibbs adding 188 yards on 26 carries with three touchdowns. For Juneau Douglas,
Demetrius Campos ran 26 times for 217 yards and three touchdowns and
Dorian Isaak completed 10 of 15 passes for 197 yards and two touchdowns.
Weslaco East (Texas) 56
McAllen Memorial (Texas) 49
Weslaco East outscored McAllen Memorial 21-7 in the fourth quarter to gain the come-from-behind win.
Darren Rivas threw 37 yards to
Gilbert Urbina with 30 seconds remaining for the winning points.
Saul Cuellar led the winners with 342 yards rushing on 36 attempts with five touchdowns while Rivas had 167 yards on 18 carries with two touchdowns. Rivas also completed five of nine passes for 172 yards and two touchdowns.
Trevor Speights led McAllen Memorial with 289 yards on 23 carries and five touchdowns while
Joel Alonzo had 210 yards on 16 carries with two scores and
Jonathon Sanchez had 106 yards on 10 carries.
