Jordan Scarlett ran for four touchdowns to lift
University (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) to a 49-3 upset over Cocoa (Fla.). The scores gave the sophomore 10 touchdowns for the year.
After taking the lead on a
Mike White touchdown pass to
Jordan Cunningham in the first quarter, the Suns led 14-3 at the half.
University expanded its lead to 32 points entering the fourth quarter. UHS scored three times in the third, including once on a Scarlett touchdown run.
Even though the Fort Lauderdale school led by 32 points entering the fourth quarter, it poured the points on, scoring 14 in the fourth.
The Tigers' Matt Adams was the standout player for his team. The junior kicked one field goal.
With the win the Suns extended their winning streak to four games.
In a non-conference game next week Cocoa (0-2) takes on Warner Christian, and University (4-0) will go up against Treasure Coast also in a non-conference game.
