Last fall, national media flocked to Hattiesburg, Miss., as legendary former NFL quarterback Brett Favre served as the offensive coordinator for the school's high school football team, helping it capture a Class 6A football state championship.
This fall Brett has moved on from his coaching duties, but a new Favre is making her mark on
Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, Miss.) athletics: daughter
Breleigh Favre.

The younger Favre is a sophomore standout on the school's volleyball team, following in the footsteps of her older sister Brittany.
Breleigh first cracked the varsity roster in 2012 as an eighth-grader. Now as a sophomore, she's helped lead Oak Grove to a 10-6 record overall, 7-1 in district play.
She is second on the team in both attack attempts (43) and kills (18). In an early-season match against Petal, she posted an impressive seven aces.
"I was real excited tonight, because our serve usually isn't that consistent," she
told the Hattiesburg American after the match. "We have a lot of talent on this team, and I think we have a lot of potential to go a long way."
Brett and his wife Deanna routinely make their way to Breleigh's matches.
"Our youngest daughter (Breleigh) is playing volleyball and we travel around for tournaments on Saturdays," Brett
told ESPN.com over the summer.
Breleigh and Oak Grove take on Meridian on Thursday. Check out photos of her in action during Tuesday's match against Hattiesburg.
