Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville, Fla.) finished last year as the No. 1 small school in the nation, and it began the 2015 season as the No. 1 team in the preseason rankings. With one month of the season in the books, Trinity Christian Academy is 4-0 and still holds onto the top spot.
A pair of Ohio teams hold down the next two spots. Coldwater, which finished last year at No. 4, is the No. 2 team while Marion Local (Marion Stein), last year's No. 2 team, is No. 3. Both teams are undefeated, but they meet next week in a nonleague matchup.
The small schools national rankings are based on the
MaxPreps Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard, and include teams that belong to state enrollment divisions comprised of schools that generally have fewer than 1,000 students.
