St. Johns is 2-8 against Mogollon since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Redskins will host the Mustangs at 2:00 p.m. St. Johns is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
St. Johns will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Northland Prep Academy on Monday. The Redskins put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 18-7 victory. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 28, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Lucas Page was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-3. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brant Hammond, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: St. Johns lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Mogollon didn't have quite enough to beat Hayden on Friday and fell 7-6.
Stetson Owens was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Rocky Porter and Quinn Tenney did some serious damage despite the final result: Porter went 2-for-4 with two triples and two runs, while Tenney went 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Tenney has launched this season.
St. Johns' win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Mogollon, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. St. Johns hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .361. However, it's not like Mogollon struggles in that department as they've averaged .312. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
St. Johns beat Mogollon 4-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Will the Redskins repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
