MaxPreps Top 25 Regional High School Football Computer Rankings

Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) stayed undefeated in its ambitious early-season schedule by defeating St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.). As a result, it kept its No. 1 ranking in the West Region while Bosco slipped to No. 5.

Starkville (Miss.) was a big mover in the South, jumping into the top spot from No. 5 after a big win. Warren Central (Indianapolis) assumed the top spot in the Midwest thanks to a second consecutive loss by St. Edward (Lakewood, Ohio), which fell to No. 5.

The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps Computer Rankings. For the purposes of these rankings, the country was broken down into five regions:

West: California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Hawaii, Alaska, and Montana.

Southwest: Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Midwest: North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

South: Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.

Northeast: Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware and Vermont.


West
