The MaxPreps Tour of Champions made its way west to honor six teams from the Pacific coast states. The first stop...Ferris High School in Spokane, Washington.
An early afternoon pep-rally, the celebration kicked off with the help of the Ferris High cheerleaders and school band. Assisted by the team cheerleaders and players, the Washington Army National Guard tossed shirts and basketballs into the frenzied crowd of 800 students. MaxPreps' Northwest Regional Manager, Calvin Clements continued the excitement while SSG Denice Meadows had the honor of presenting Head Coach Don Van Lierop with the MaxPreps National Rankings Trophy.
Having managed approximately 30 Tour of Champions events over the past couple of seasons, Tour Director Chris Brethel was blown away by the support and enthusiasm generated by the Ferris crowd. A special thanks goes out to everyone at the school, and congratulations once more on being MaxPreps' number 11 ranked team in America.
