There's no place like home for Horizon Science Academy, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 46-35 win over Northeast Ohio College Prep on Thursday. That looming 46-35 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Horizon Science Academy yet this season.
Horizon Science Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Richard McCoy, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that McCoy pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Braylon Myrick, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Horizon Science Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Northeast Ohio College Prep, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The will challenge the Dragons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Northeast Ohio College Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Christian Community at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Christian Community focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Tuesday.
