While the Titans of Papillion LaVista-South (Papillion, Neb.) were running their winning streak to 97 straight matches, the Blue Devils of Quincy (Ill.) ran their 2012 win streak to 17, jumping from unranked to No. 15 in the latest MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Volleyball Rankings presented by the Army National Guard.
Papillion upped its 2012 record to 15-0 to stay No. 1, and the top eight remained unchanged.
Torrey Pines (San Diego) remained unbeaten, holding on to the No. 2 spot, and Assumption improved to 25-1 with a trio of wins for the week to remain No. 3.
Orlando's Bishop Moore (13-0) won the Berkeley Prep Premiere event to remain No. 4, followed by Punahou (Honolulu), Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.), Lafayette (Wildwood, Mo.) and Carmel (Ind.). Carmel has won 52 in a row and has yet to lose a game this season.
Mount Notre Dame (Cincinnati) and Barnstable (Hyannis, Mass.) moved into the top 10. MND has won 21 matches in a row and Barnstable's win streak over two seasons has grown to 28.
In just two weeks, Doherty (Colorado Springs) has gone from unranked to No. 11 and visits No. 22 Cheyenne Mountain (Colorado Springs) on Tuesday.
While the Battle on the Plains draws the spotlight on Wednesday with the top three teams going head to head at Sokol Arena at Creighton University, Chicago gets the attention Friday and Saturday with the annual Asics Challenge, considered one of the top high school volleyball events in the country.

2. (2) Torrey Pines (San Diego), 8-0The Falcons followed their Durango Invitational title with wins over Canyon Crest Academy (San Diego), 2-0, and rival La Costa Canyon (Carlsbad, Calif.), 3-0.

(3) Assumption (Louisville, Ky.), 25-1The Rockets tuned up for No. 1 Papillion and No. 2 Torrey Pines with 2-0 wins over Male (Louisville) and Brown (Louisville) and a 3-0 sweep over Sacred Heart (Louisville). Following the Battle on the Plains Wednesday, Assumption heads to Chicago for the Asics Challenge.
4. (4) Bishop Moore (Orlando, Fla.), 13-0Led by tournament MVP Lindsey Owens, Bishop Moore won the Berkeley Prep Premiere Invitational with a 5-0 mark. En route to the title, Bishop Moore beat top 25-ranked Venice (Fla.) (2-0). Oviedo (Fla.) and Nease (Ponta Verda, Fla.) visit Bishop Moore Saturday.
5. (5) Punahou (Honolulu), 6-0Punahou, which last lost in 2010, defeated Sacred Hearts and Maryknoll. Travels to Iolani Tuesday (8-5) and Kamehameha (10-3) Friday.
6. (6) Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.), 11-0After a week off, unbeaten Mitty travels to 9-5 Notre Dame (Belmont, Calif.) Wednesday.
7. (7) Lafayette (Wildwood, Mo.), 18-0The Lancers beat Eureka and Mehlville (St. Louis) last week and in improving to 18-0, have won all 36 games this season. Westminster Christian (St. Louis) visits the Lancers Tuesday.
8. (8) Carmel (Ind.), 20-0The Greyhounds have yet to lose a game this season after 3-0 wins over North Central and Noblesville (Carmel). They will take that 52-0 streak into Tuesday's home match against Indianapolis Central (14-7).
9. (10) Mount Notre Dame (Cincinnati), 13-0 With wins over Seton (Cincinnati) and McAuley (Cincinnati), MND improves to 13-0. Mother of Mercy (Cincinnati) and always tough St. Urusline Academy (Cincinnati) are next opponents.
10. (11) Barnstable (Hyannis, Mass.), 5-0The Red Raiders ran their win streak to 28 with wins over Bridgewater-Raynham (Bridgewater), North Quincy and Dennis-Yarmouth Regional (South Yarmouth). Winners of all 15 games it has played this season, Barnstable travels to 5-1 Notre Dame Academy (Hingham) Tuesday and 5-0 Dartmouth Wednesday.

11. (16) Doherty (Colorado Springs, Colo.), 11-0The Spartans beat Palmer (Colorado Springs) 2-1 and shut out Ralston (Arvada), and have won 25 of 26 games this season. They host rival and once-beaten No. 23 Cheyenne Mountain on Tuesday.
12. (14) Benet Academy (Lisle, Ill.), 15-0The Redwings, who have won 35 straight, host Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights), Marist (Chicago) and Batavia this week.
13. (18) Lakeville North (Lakeville, Minn.), 16-0The Panthers captured the Eagle Invitation with four wins, including one over previously unbeaten Eden Prairie. They will host Eastview (Apple Valley) Thursday.
14. (15) Horizon (Scottsdale, Ariz.), 21-2Horizon recorded 3-0 wins over Desert Mountain (Scottsdale) and Boulder Creek (Anthem) and has won 50 of 58 games this season. The Huskies travel to Central (Phoenix) Saturday.
15. (25) Quincy (Ill.), 17-0Winning 34 of their 36 games this season, Quincy is 17-0 on the season. Led by
India Green, the Blue Devils visit O'Fallon Wednesday next then participate in Belleville East Tournament Friday and Saturday. The Blue Devils have won 49 of their last 51 matches.

17. (NR) Eden Prairie (Minn.), 11-1Coming off wins over Hopkins (Minnetonka) and Andover, and a runner-up finish at the Eagle Invitational, the Eagles are 11-1. The defending 3A state champions lost to No. 13 Lakeville in the Eagle finals, 2-1, losing the tie-breaker, 15-11. They host Apple Valley Tuesday and Minnetonka Thursday.
18. (19) Carroll (Southlake, Texas), 30-3 Since losing back-to-back matches four weeks ago, the Dragons have won 19 of 20 matches. The Dragons visit Richland (North Richland Hills) Tuesday and host Keller Friday.
19. (20) Reagan (San Antonio), 31-2Reagan recorded 3-0 wins over MacArthur (San Antonio) and Johnson (San Antonio) to run its win streak to 16. The Rattlers host 23-9 Churchill (San Antonio) Tuesday.
20. (9) Coppell, 31-3The Cowgirls lost 3-1 to Hebron and travel to 23-9 Flower Mound Tuesday.
21. (21) Yorktown (Ind.), 19-1Beat LaPorte (19-5), 25-21, 25-18, and Cowan 2-0. Yorktown travels to 9-9 New Palestine Tuesday.

24. (23) Whitewater (Fayetteville, Ga.), 33-2The 5A Wildcats won 6 of 7 matches and handled McIntosh (26-2) 2-0 in the process. However, they lost 2-0 to 3A Landmark Christian (Fairburn) (27-12). They get a chance for revenge on Tuesday.
25. (24) Venice (Fla.) 13-2Venice took third at the Berkeley Prep Premiere in Tampa Bay by going 4-1 and losing only to Bishop Moore, 25-23, 25-20 in the semis. Venice swept Ft. Myers for 3rd place. In pool play, Venice beat Academy of Holy Names (Tampa), Palm Harbor University, and Buchholz (Gainesville). Seniors
