It's section championship time in the North Coast, Central Coast and Sac-Joaquin Section, with winners expecting a Northern California Regional bid.
The Northern Section crowned champions last week, including 12-0 Enterprise, which is also seeking a NorCal bid.

The Spartans trailed Deer Valley (Antioch) 14-7 and then took off in a North Coast Section Division I semifinal, scoring the next 36 points to win 57-27 for the program's 38th consecutive victory and 66th against state competition. DLS is unbeaten against NorCal foes since 1991, a run of 249 games.
Antoine Custer rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns and returned a punt for a score, and
John Velasco had 159 and two. Proof that the D-line is a bruising lot: 12 sacks, despite not having
Kahlil Mckenzie in the lineup. A glimmer of hope for opponents is this: DLS has lost four fumbles in two playoff games, fumbling six times total. The Spartans seek their 22nd consecutive section title and face a team they beat 55-0 earlier this season.

2. (2) Folsom (13-0)The Bulldogs got a wake-up call in victory in facing a very motivated and skilled Jesuit (Carmichael) team that nearly pulled a shocker. Folsom won 42-35 in a Sac-Joaquin Section Division I semifinal to reach a title game for the fourth successive season, the last three in D-II.
Jake Browning passed for 383 yards and a TD to give him 69 for the season, and he ran for two scores. Folsom has gone 27-1 the last two seasons. The last loss was to No. 1 De La Salle, in the NorCal 2012 Open.

3. (3) Serra (San Mateo) (10-2)The Padres rallied from a halftime deficit to beat rival No. 11 Bellarmine (San Jose) 28-17 in a Central Coast Section Open semifinal. This was a rematch of a West Catholic Athletic League contest.
Kava Cassidy ran for 135 yards and three scores and
Matthew Fa'aita ran for 122 as the Padres pitched a second-half shutout. Bellarmine had won the seven previous meetings entering this season. The early loss was 21-14 to De La Salle.

4. (4) Del Oro (Loomis) (11-2)The Golden Eagles beat Yuba City 52-26 in Sac-Joaquin Section D-II semifinal action.
Michael Moore tossed five touchdowns, three to
Tyler Meteer. Del Oro seeks the program's ninth section title since 1989. The Golden Eagles are unbeaten in section play and last lost to De La Salle.

5. (5) Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills) (12-1)The Trojans beat Delta River League foe Pleasant Grove (Elk Grove) for the second time, this time 26-20 in a Sac-Joaquin Section D-I semifinal.
Tanner Hughes rushed for three touchdowns after scoring that many all season coming in. Oak Ridge is a four-time D-II section winner back in the D-I title game for the second straight season. The loss this season was to Folsom.

6. (7) Archbishop Mitty (San Jose) (11-1)The Monarchs beat Valley Christian (San Jose) 37-7 in Central Coast Section Open semifinal play and now have a shot at their first championship.
Trent Scharrenberg passed for two touchdowns and
Kyle Evans accounted for three scores and
Dakari Monroe returned a fumble 96 yards for a TD. The lone loss was to No. 3 Serra, 31-7 late in the West Catholic Athletic League season.

7. (8) Elk Grove (12-1)The Thundering Herd beat Rio Linda 22-14 in a wild Sac-Joaquin Section D-II semifinal.
Noah Letuligasenoa Ta'amu scored on a 70-yard fumble return and
Tommy Arnold and
Spencer Sheff scored rushing touchdowns. Arnold,
Elijah Jones and
Dior Vela combined for 42 tackles.

(7) Marin Catholic (Kentfield) (12-0)Morgan Mahalak, a reserve QB last season, passed for 293 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 121 and one in continuing his superb season with a 48-20 win over Analy (Sebastapol) in a North Coast Section D-III semifinal. The winning streak against NorCal foes is 24.

9. (15) St. Francis (Mountain View) (9-3)The Lancers beat Palo Alto 45-21 in Central Coast Section D-II play and now seek another title for a program used to winning.
Alex Andrighetto rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns.

10. (20) California (San Ramon) (11-2)Backup QB
Matt Lorenz continued to shine and lead in his fourth start, passing for 134 yards and two scores and running for another as the Grizzlies avenged an earlier loss to Pittsburg by beating the Pirates 31-17 in North Coast Section D-I play. Now it's a chance to avenge the other loss, to No. 1 De La Salle, which rolled 55-0 earlier.

11. (12) Bellarmine (San Jose) (9-4), season completeThe Bells lost to rival No. 3 Serra (San Mateo) 28-17 in Central Coast Section Open semifinal play.
K.J. Carta-Samuels passed for 231 yards and a score in his career finale. An earlier playoff win was over 9-1 Wilcox (Santa Clara) and they have a nonleague win over No. 12 El Cerrito, and a West Catholic Athletic League setback to Serra 17-7.
12. (18) El Cerrito (11-2)Keilan Benjamin, El Cerrito

The Gauchos beat Campolindo (Moraga) 49-34 in North Coast Section D-III action in out-rushing the Cougars 311-25.
Keilan Benjamin passed for 154 yards and three touchdowns and
Adarius Pickett ran for 135 and a score. The win avenged an earlier loss to Campolindo. An earlier loss was to No. 11 Bellarmine.

13. (9) Pleasant Grove (Elk Grove) (10-3), season completeThe Eagles fell to No. 3 Oak Ridge, 26-20, in a Sac-Joaquin Section D-I semifinal, ending the prep careers of

Kyle Dixon,
Esley Simmons and a host of others. Earlier wins include Jesuit (Carmichael) and Rocklin in regular-season play and Stagg (Stockton) in the playoffs.
14. (10) Campolindo (Moraga) (11-1), season completeThe Cougars lost to El Cerrito 49-34 in North Coast Section D-III play.
Andrew Zolintakis passed for 290 yards. Beat El Cerrito earlier this season.
15. (17) Granite Bay (8-4), season completeThe Grizzlies lost to No. 5 Oak Ridge in Sac-Joaquin Section D-I play. An early win was over No. 16 Pittsburg.
16. (11) Pittsburg (9-3), season completeThe Pirates lost to No. 10 California 31-17 in North Coast Section D-I play after beating California earlier this season. This marks the end of the prep career of
Harris Ross.
17. (19) Enterprise (Redding) (12-0)The Hornets rolled Paradise 40-14 in the Northern Section D-I finals and now await a vote to see if it will compete in a NorCal Regional game.
Izzy Matthews rushed for 230 yards and five touchdowns.

18. (NR) Manteca (12-1)The Buffaloes beat Inderkum 45-36 in Sac-Joaquin Section D-III semifinal action.
Alex Laurel rushed for 173 yads and a score and
Joe Menzel passed for a touchdown. The lone loss was to Wilcox (Santa Clara), a setback that helped the team more than it hurt, coaches said.

19. (21) Central Catholic (Modesto) (12-1)The Raiders beat Ripon 38-7 in Sac-Joaquin Section D-IV semifinal play in looking the part of defending state champions.
Matt Ringer rushed for 202 yards and three touchdowns for a program that has won a record 16 section titles.

20. (22) Casa Grande (Petaluma) (13-0)The Gauchos dominated the second half with sustained drives to beat Montgomery (Santa Rosa), 42-13, in North Coast Section D-II play, pitching a second-half shutout.
John Porchivina had 201 yards rushing and four touchdowns and he had a pick-six on defense.

21. (24) Miramonte (Orinda) (11-2)The Matadors stunned defending North Coast Section D-II champion Clayton Valley Charter 44-38.
Drew Anderson passed for 355 yards and three touchdowns, two to brother

The Ugly Eagles lost to No. 21 Miramonte, 44-38, in a North Coast Section D-II semifinal.
Miles Harrison rushed for 247 yards and three touchdowns. The junior finished with 2,020 yards and 37 touchdowns. The other loss was a season-opener to No. 1 De La Salle.
23. (13) Deer Valley (Antioch) (11-2), season completeThe Wolverines took a 14-7 lead at De La Salle in a North Coast Section D-I semifinal before falling 57-27. This closes out the terrific prep career of
Nsimba Webster.
24. (NR) Los Gatos (9-3)The Wildcats beat Menlo-Atherton 35-6 in a a Central Coast Section D-II semifinal. First-year coach Mark Krail took over for legendary coach Butch Cattolico.

25 (NR) Milpitas (10-2)The Trojans beat Piedmont Hills 45-0 in a Central Coast Section D-I semifinal behind RB
