Kenton (Ohio) has produced two of the all-time leading passers in Ohio history in Maty and Ben Mauk, but Grant Sherman is quickly moving up the list.
After passing for 524 yards and eight touchdowns in a 62-6 win over Bath (Lima, Ohio), Sherman now stands 13th in state history with 8,221 career yards and seventh in all-time touchdowns with 95.
Sherman's total tops this week's list of National Stat Stars as he had the top reported passing performance in the nation.
Meanwhile, Sammy Mireles of Elwood
became the all-time rushing leader in Indiana after rushing for 343 yards in a win last week. Mireles, who now has 7,639 career yards, broke the record of Otis Shannon of Indianapolis Cathedral, who was
on hand to congratulate Mireles. Shannon rushed for 7,560 career yards.
