There is not much movement at the top of MaxPreps Texas Top 25 following the opening weekend of games, but seven new teams have crowded their way into the lower half of this week's rankings.
Among the newcomers at No. 15 is Midway (Waco), a 38-30 winner over preseason No. 9 Lake Travis.
Four teams in this week's MaxPreps Texas Top 25 will face out-of-state opponents. One of the most intriguing features No. 12 Carroll (Southlake) against Oklahoma power Union (Tulsa) Friday at AT&T Stadium.
