MaxPreps Top 25 Regional High School Football Computer Rankings: West Region

Crespi closes in on St. John Bosco for No. 2 spot in rankings.

St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) has been the powerhouse in the Southern Section for most of the season, but Crespi (Encino) is hot on its tail following a playoff win over Santa Margarita last week.

Crespi moved up from No. 7 to No. 3 in this week's MaxPreps West Region Football Computer Rankings  and is within half a rating point of St. John Bosco (73.9 to 73.4). Those two teams could meet in the Pac 5 Division semifinals if they both win their games this week.

Meanwhile Bingham (South Jordan, Utah) continues to climb the rankings ladder as it moved from No. 10 to No. 7. Bingham will face American Fork (Utah), a newcomer to the rankings at No. 19, in the Utah Class 5A state championship game this week.

Regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps Computer Rankings. The West Regional rankings consist of teams from Hawaii, Alaska, Colorado, Wyoming, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Utah.
