The Texas boys basketball regular season is winding down with some players registering some great figures. MaxPreps breaks down the top five athletes in the state and where they rank nationally in four major statistical categories.
Points Per GameSavion Flagg, Sr., Alvin, No. 11One month ago, Flagg was averaging 34.0 points per game, and he's dipped down slightly to 31.7 to still lead the state. He has registered a double-double in six of the last seven games.
Parker Hicks, Sr., Decatur, No. 18Hicks is putting up 30.1 points per game. He is coming off the first game this season of scoring under double figures. The senior is also shooting 84 percent at the free throw line.
Quentin Grimes, Jr., College Park (The Woodlands), No. 33Grimes has been steady all season with a 29.1 points per game average. Last week, he poured in 32 points and 10 rebounds in a lopsided victory.

Tre'Veon Semien, Sr., Romeo Young Men's Innovation Prep Academy (Paris), No. 36Semien averaged 37 points during a three-game stretch, but sandwiched in a 17-point effort in a loss. His average for the season is 29.0.
Josiah Johnson, So., Big Sandy (Big Sandy), No. 38Johnson has scored 20 or more points in each of the past 21 games. He is at 28.9 points per game for the season.
Rebounds Prep GamePierce Williams, Sr., Dallas Academy (Dallas), No. 5Four weeks ago, Williams was just 26th in the country in rebounding, but has moved into the top five. On Feb. 2, he came through with a monster game of 40 points and 20 rebounds.
Keyshawn Jones, Jr., River City Christian (San Antonio), No. 7Jones has been steady all season with 16.4 rebounds per outing. He came through with 16 points and 17 boards in a tight loss in a game last month.
Grant Carlisle, So., Chisholm Trail Academy (Keene), No. 14It's been tough for opposing teams to slow down Carlisle this season. He is grabbing 15.4 rebounds each time out and is coming off a 27-point, 18-rebound performance.
Dillon Blair, Fr., Westwood (Dallas), No. 26Just a freshman, Blair is grabbing 14.8 rebounds a game. He had 14 points and a career-high 22 rebounds in a loss late last month.
Chance Parker, Jr., Ballinger, No. 27For the season, Parker is averaging 14.7 rebounds per night. But in the last five games, Parker is at 17.2.
Assists Per GameKareem Lightbourne, So., Texas Christian (Houston), No. 8Lightbourne has double-digit assists in nine of 16 games this season. He is averaging 9.0 per game, but in the last eight games is at 11.0.
Kendric Davis, Jr., Houston Math Science & Tech (Houston), No. 20In his past five games, Davis has averaged 10.2 assists. On the season, Davis is at 7.9 assists per game, including a 16-assist outing.
Colby Buckhanan, Sr., Northland Christian (Houston), No. 37Buckhanan has helped Northland Christian win six of its last seven games with solid guard play. He's averaging 7.4 assists per game, and had a phenomenal 11-point, 14-rebound and 13-assist night on Feb. 2.
Gregory Thompson, Sr., King's Academy (Tyler), No. 49Thompson is averaging 6.9 assists per game. He had 23 points and nine assists in a victory on Jan. 16.
Spencer Weilert, So., Abilene Christian (Abilene), No. 49Weilert had an amazing triple-double on Jan. 20, tallying 15 assists, 15 steals and 13 points. His season average for assists is 6.9.
Blocks Per GameKarim Gunter, Jr., Wilson (Dallas), No. 5Gunter is registering 6.8 blocks per game this season. He has two games in double figures and six games with more than eight blocks.
Blaize Marshall, Sr., Covenant Classical (Fort Worth), No. 10Marshall has been a dominant force inside with 6.1 blocks per game. In his last game, he had 22 points, 19 rebounds and 11 blocks.
Jacob Brubaker, Sr., Poetry Community Christian (Poetry), No. 13Brubaker has been averaging 5.7 blocks a night. In a game in January, he tallied 26 points, 13 rebounds, five blocks and five assists.
Onix Little, Sr., Clear Brook (Friendswood), No. 23Little hasn't been little inside all year. He has had between three and seven blocks in every game this season, averaging 5.0.
Pierce Williams, Sr., Dallas Academy (Dallas), No. 25Williams is registering 4.9 blocks per game, but 6.5 blocks in the last six games.
