Bowman Jr. is averaging 16.4 points per game. In a 78-48 win over Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista) last week, he scored a career-high 26 points to go along with six rebounds and five assists.
His father graduated from
Suitland (Forestville, Md.) in 2006 where he excelled in basketball and football before becoming an All-American at Penn State and being selected by the 49ers in the 2010 NFL Draft. Under head coach Jim Harbaugh, Bowman had sacks in two NFC Championship games.
Bowman Sr. started coaching in 2023 as a defensive analyst at Maryland. Harbaugh brought him on to his staff with the Chargers and the family moved to Southern California.
