Video: MaxPreps Top 10 Plays of the WeekAfter starting the season ranked No. 9, American Heritage (Plantation, Fla.) has moved up to the No. 1 spot in the MaxPreps Medium Schools National Football Rankings.
American Heritage is one of three Florida schools ranked among the top six medium schools in the country. Bolles (Jacksonville, Fla.) comes in at No. 5 and Hallandale is No. 6.
Ohio has four teams in the rankings, including No. 2 Archbishop Hoban (Akron, Ohio) and No. 4 Steubenville.
Preseason No. 1 Oxford (Miss.) dropped to No. 12 while preseason No. 2 Lake Taylor (Norfolk, Va.) has dropped to No. 25.
The rankings are based on the
MaxPreps Computer Rankings. Medium schools are those which are placed in state enrollment divisions that are generally between 1,000 and 2,000 students. Each team is listed with its record from last year.
