Boston is a city that is home to the: Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics, Harvard, Adrienne Pereira and last night the MaxPreps.com USA Football Road Tour. Mike and I decided to do a little sightseeing this week as we have some time until our next game. With the East Coast being so compact, it makes for traveling to different states very easy, and when you are talking about two guys that have driven 15,000 miles in 11 weeks, driving to Maine is like a walk in the park. Speaking of Maine, it is where we decided to drive to tonight, so as I type in a Dollar Tree parking lot in Bangor, ME, I look forward to our coastal drive tomorrow as we head back to New York.
This road tour is more than just watching the best football games in America. It is about two young men exploring this vast country together. What would a road trip be if you didn't actually hit the road for reasons other that to get to the next football game? What would a road trip be if you couldn't say that you hit all four corners of the country you were traveling in? At the end of this tour Mike and I will be able to say that we did hit all four corners, visited 41 states, traveled 20,000 miles and did it all while showcasing 15 mind blowing football experiences.
Maxpreps.com is a site that is trying to bring a light to every single high school sports athlete, and the communities in which they are apart of. The road tour that Mike and I are on right now is trying to give you a visual of what exactly this site is trying to do. We want to show not only the players, but also the fans, parents and regular people like ourselves that just love what high school sports do for young adults throughout the United States of America.
Ten weeks have come and gone, and I hope that you all have gotten that feel from our video's and journal entries. Feel free to write, call, or respond because that is why we have that information on our site. We want to be connected with all of you because without you there would be no MaxPreps.com, and no road tour.
This week's game is between the Monroe-Woodbury (10-0), the defending AA state champions, and New Rochelle (9-0), who just came off a tough win against Jay High of Cross River, NY. Tune in each week to not only see the video's of that week, but also to see where we are off to next.
