The Arkansas Activities Association (AAA) and MaxPreps, the online high school sports leader, have announced a partnership agreement that will enable the AAA to provide a customized sports information platform for its member schools.
MaxPreps and the AAA will offer a publishing platform across desktop, tablet and mobile that will streamline the process of managing sports information from hundreds of member schools and several thousand contests each month.
The partnership enables all box score information published on MaxPreps.com to be automatically provided to the AAA for use in managing various initiatives including all regular season conference standings, AAA post-season contests, AAA records, statewide statistical leaderboards, roster information, team photos, media publications, Wendy's High School recognition program and much more. Beginning in the 2015-16 school year, all coaches will be required to submit scores to MaxPreps after each game. Coaches will also need to submit statistics in order to be featured in the AAA statewide statistical leaderboards, AAA records, various media publications and other initiatives.
"MaxPreps is thrilled to be working with the Arkansas Activities Association to provide an efficient and streamlined process to highlight all member schools and Arkansas student-athletes," said Andy Beal, president and founder of MaxPreps. "MaxPreps is committed to working with State High School Associations nationwide to protect and strengthen traditional high school sports. We look forward to working with the AAA to help them further their goals and provide positive coverage of all member schools."
"As we move deeper into the statistical age, it is important that we stay up-to-date with the needs of our member schools. More than half of our schools are already a part of the MaxPreps family. This new partnership will allow our member schools to keep up with rankings, statistical leaders and a scoreboard, which will offer up-to-date post season scores and brackets," said AAA Executive Director Lance Taylor. "This will be a great benefit to our student-athletes, our high school coaches, parents and all school administrators throughout the state. We are excited about having this relationship with MaxPreps heading into our future."
