Jackson Clarion-Ledger Dandy Dozen team.
Chris Wormley, DL, 6-5, 265, Whitmer (Toledo, Ohio), MichiganWormley was the driving force behind a Whitmer team that enjoyed a fine season. He was named the
JJ Huddle Defensive Player of the Year for the state of Ohio after making 85 tackles and 13 sacks.
Deion Jones, LB, 6-2, 210, Jesuit (New Orleans), LSUThe Class 5A Defensive Player of the Year, Jones made 179 tackles, nine sacks and three interceptions for one of the state’s top teams.
Justin Lyles, LB, 5-11, 210, Phoebus (Hampton, Va.), UndecidedThe Daily Press Defensive Player of the Year, Lyles accounted for 157 tackles, five interceptions and three sacks, helping Phoebus capture yet another state title.
Reuben Foster, LB, 6-2, 228, Troup County (LaGrange, Ga.), Junior, AlabamaThe Class AAA Defensive Player of the Year was all over the field. He made 185 tackles and 14 sacks.

Issah took home AAAA Co-Player of the Year honors. In addition to his 123 tackles and 14 sacks, he also rushed for 1,345 yards and had 672 receiving yards.

Mike Svetina, DB, 6-2, 220, St. Ignatius (Cleveland), Miami (Ohio)The Plain-Dealer Defensive Player of the Year and Ohio Division I Co-Defensive Player of the Year, Svetina helped St. Ignatius to a state title with his 111 tackles, four sacks, three interceptions and a defensive touchdown.
William Likely, DB, 5-7, 170, Glades Central (Belle Glade, Fla.), JuniorThe PBGameTime Small School Defensive Player of the Year and
winner of the Lou Grazo Award for the county’s top player, Likely was nearly unstoppable in all facets of the game. He made seven interceptions, rushed for 11 touchdowns and caught six touchdown passes.

earned Bergen Record Defensive Player of the Year honors over more-touted teammates Darius Hamilton, Jabrill Peppers, Yuri Wright and Elijah Shumate. He led arguably the nation’s top defense by intercepting a pair of passes against Mission Viejo and in both games against Bergen Catholic.
Zach Streuling, DB, 6-0, 175, Lake Travis (Austin, Texas), UndecidedThe District 25-4A Defensive Player of the Year, Streuling totaled an eye-popping 198 tackles and six interceptions.
Eric Goslar, P, 6-0, 180, Marlboro Central (Marlboro, N.Y.), UndecidedThe
all-area pick by the Daily Freeman averaged more than 52 yards per punt, tops in the nation.
