Today, we highlight the top softball pitchers and catchers from the Class of 2020, based on last year's Junior All-American team.

P — Jodie Aguirre, Alvin (Texas)
2019 resume: District most valuable player.
2019 stats: 34-5, 1.13 ERA, 230 innings, 343 strikeouts, four no-hitters, batted .311.
Honors: All-State
College: Brown

P — Delani Bucker, Hoover (Clendenin, W. Va.)
2019 resume: Buckner led the Huskies to a 35-1 record and its third-straight state Class A championship.
2019 stats: Six perfect games, five additional no-hitters, 20-1, 0.33 ERA, 273 strikeouts, 18 walks in 127 innings, batted .495 with nine doubles, two home runs and 33 RBI.
Honors: West Virginia co-state Player of the Year
College: Morehead State

P — Jessie Fontes, Grace Brethren (Simi Valley, Calif.)
2019 resume: Led team in 1-0 quarterfinals loss to Louisville, eventual CIF-SS D6 champion.
2019 stats: 21-5, 0.36 ERA, 264 strikeouts in 136 innings, batted .530, seven homers, 36 RBI, 35 runs, 10 doubles.
Honors: All-CIF
College: Arizona commit

2019 resume: Led the Falcons to the California Interscholastic Federation North Coast Section D1 championship, unbeaten 28-0 season and a No. 2 national ranking. Homered and tossed one-hitter with 13 strikeouts in title game.
2019 stats: 24-0, 14 shutouts, 0.32 ERA, 246 strikeouts in 151 innings, batted .463, 27 RBI.

2019 resume: Led Hurricanes to the District 3-7A championship. Four of five losses were by one run and other loss was 2-0 to nationally ranked Lakewood Ranch (Bradenton) when she struck out 26 in 14 innings.
2019 stats: 19-5, 0.29 ERA 325 Ks in 167 innings, 18 walks, three no-hitters, 12 shutouts.
Honors: TGainesville Sun's Co-Player of the Year

P — Shelby Lowe, Pickens Academy (Carrollton, Ala.)
2019 resume: State-best 15.7 strikeouts per seven innings.
2019 stats: 19-4, 0.14 ERA, 336 strikeouts, 16 shutouts, six no-hitters, three earned runs in 150 innings.
Honors: All-State Super Softball team honoree

P — Haley Pittman, Alabama Christian Academy (Montgomery, Ala.)
2019 resume: Second in the nation with 448 strikeouts as the Eagles won 4A title.
2019 stats: 23-8, 17 shutouts, 36 wins, 1.29 ERA, five no-hitters, batted .487, 55 RBI.
Honors: State 4A Pitcher and Player of the Year

P — Madison Penta, Bohemia Manor (Chesapeake City, Md.)
2019 resume: Struck out 19 with a no-hitter in the state championship game. Allowed 16 base hits in 21 unbeaten games.
2019 stats: 299 strikeouts in 123 innings, 0.11 ERA, batted .586, 34 RBI, nine homers.
Honors: Two-time MaxPreps All-American, state Gatorade award winner for softball, three-time all-state pick

P — Gabi Salo, Escanaba (Mich.)
2019 resume: Pitched Eskymos to second straight D2 state title as opponents batted 0.83 as she averaged two strikeouts per inning.
2019 stats: 26-2, 351 strikeouts, 0.26 ERA in 176 innings, batted .343, 37 hits, 38 RBI.
Honors: 2019 Miss Michigan Softball

P — Ryleigh White, Immaculate Heart Academy (Washington Township, N.J.)
2019 resume: Led IHA (24-2) and allowed only 12 earned runs.
2019 stats: 20-2, 277 strikeouts in 136 innings, .410 average, 36 RBI, nine homers.
Honors: All-State
College: Tennessee

2019 resume: The best pitcher on the country's best high school team. Didn't allow an earned run in postseason, while giving up 10 hits and fanning 33 in 28 innings as Cougars won second-straight CIF Southern Section D1 title.
2019 stats: 22-1, 0.82 ERA, 196strikeouts in 153 innings, batted .350, 20 RBI.
Honors: Two-time MaxPreps All-American, Inland Press co-Player of the Year, first team all-CIF
College: Washington C — Courtney Beaudin, Foothill (Pleasanton, Calif.)
2019 resume: Caught for All-American teammate May and committed one error on the season as Foothill went 28-0 and won the California Interscholastic Federation North Coast Section D1 championship.

C — Jennifer Cummings, Redmond (Wash.)
2019 resume: Led Mustangs to 26-3 season and third place in state.
2019 stats: .575, .704 on-base percentage, 29 extra base hits, 49 RBI, 1.237 slugging percentage, 30 walks.
