Highland Park junior hoping to take over under center for Scots.
Football fans know Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is enamored with his starting quarterback, Tony Romo.
So much so, apparently, that his grandson also sports the No. 9 for his high school football team (we kid, but seriously that can't be a coincidence).
The Dallas Morning News reported earlier this week that junior
John Stephen Jones is in a three-way competition for the starting quarterback spot at
Highland Park (Dallas).
He's got some playmaking ability, as seen in the highlights above.
Listed at 5-foot-10 and 165 pounds on the Scots' roster, John Stephen is the son of Stephen Jones – Jerry's son and a Cowboys executive.
Highland Park is one of the blue bloods of Texas high school football with three state championships and six all-time title game appearances. The Scots went 10-2 last season and beat Prosper 35-28 in a September game played at AT&T Stadium.
