Now that the Nebraska prep baseball season has come to a conclusion, we at MaxPreps have decided to comb through our baseball database and display what we believe are the Top 10 single-game offensive performances this spring in the Cornhusker State.
And we were not disappointed.
Baily Darnell leads off this week's Top 10 with what we believe was the top offensive performance in 2017. Darnell was perfect at the plate, scored four times and knocked in four more runs after belting a double and a pair of home runs.
Arlington's Andy Theiler was pretty salty himself after he came up just a single short of hitting for the cycle and Omaha Roncalli's Logan McGill was responsible for seven runs when he pounded out a couple of doubles and a round tripper.
Douglas County West's Trevor Wald and Sayre Burnley of Norris round out the top five in the No. 4 and No. 5 spots respectively. Wald scored three runs and his bat plated six more, while Burnley belted four doubles in a perfect 4-for-4 performance.
Darnell, Theiler and McGill all got hot on March 23. That date was responsible for our Top 3 performances in 2017.
