Video: Jamyest Williams Top 5 Plays
See senior highlights of Grayson's 4-star cornerback and all-purpose player.
Four-star senior cornerback
Jamyest Williams of
Grayson (Loganville, Ga.) was seemingly set months ago to play at
South Carolina next season. As recently as last weekend, though, he made an official visit to the
University of Georgia, which is close to his home.
Williams, a 5-foot-9, 170-pound all-purpose threat, helped Grayson win the
2016 GHSA 7A championship in a 23-20 overtime victory against Roswell. The Rams finished No. 4 in the
MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard.
Originally a
MaxPreps freshman All-American at Duluth (Ga.) in 2013, Williams is the 74th ranked player in 247Sports' Class of 2017. He committed to South Carolina on Aug. 27, and is scheduled to announce his final decision at 9 a.m. on Feb. 1 at Grayson.
