Senior
Adrian Stubbs of
Maryvale (Phoenix) broke the Arizona high school basketball single-game scoring record Tuesday night by scoring 100 points in a 109-25 victory over Kofa, according to multiple social media reports.
Stubbs shattered the previous record of 75 points by George McCormick of
Fredonia in 1966. He nearly tied the 60-year old mark by halftime as he reportedly piled up 70 points in the first 16 minutes.
Entering Tuesday's game, Stubbs was averaging 23.9 points, 7.1 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 5.5 steals per contest according to statistics submitted to MaxPreps.

As a junior, Stubbs put up 27.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 6.3 steals and 5.8 assists per game.
The high-scoring, 5-foot-10 guard has put up a number of eye-popping statlines this season, including flirting with a quadruple-double earlier in the year when he posted 48 points, 15 rebounds, nine steals and eight assists in a 92-78 win over
Mountain Ridge (Glendale).
Stubbs also posted a triple-double early in the season during a 91-82 triumph vs.
Verrado (Buckeye) when he posted 31 points, 11 assists, 10 steals and eight rebounds.
His previous highest scoring output was 56 points in a 77-75 win over
Liberty (Peoria) last season.
With the lopsided victory Tuesday, Maryvale moves to 10-6 in 2025-26.
The high-scoring performance marks the second consecutive season that a player has scored 100 or more points in a game after Nicholas Khatchikian of
Mesrobian (Pico Rivera, Calif.) did so last season.
