Large schools do not rule the national baseball landscape. In fact, in at least four states, medium-sized schools are the No. 1 ranked team.
Those four teams are part of the first release of the MaxPreps Top 25 Medium School National Baseball Rankings, including No. 1 Blessed Trinity (Roswell, Ga.). The Titans are No. 1 in Georgia and are also No. 12 in the overall national rankings based on the MaxPreps Computer Rankings.
Other teams include D.H. Conley (Greeneville, N.C.), the No. 1 team in North Carolina; Bishop England (Charleston), the No. 1 team in South Carolina; and Tuttle, the No. 1 team in Oklahoma.
Rounding out the top five in the medium school rankings are American Heritage (Plantation, Fla.) at No. 2, Faith Academy (Mobile, Ala.) at No. 3., Windsor (Colo.) at No. 4 and University (Greeley, Colo.) and Calvary Christian (Clearwater, Fla.) tied at No. 5.
