South Kitsap (Port Orchard) beats
Central Kitsap (Silverdale) in a Narrows League wrestling match on Tuesday. South hasn't lost a league wrestling match since 1992 and has won 176 straight.

Garfield (Seattle) lost to
Redmond 46-45. Garfield rested star guard
Tony Wroten Jr., who had a sore knee. Class 3A No. 2 Rainier Beach lost to Walton (Marietta, Ga.), 67-63 in the Marriott Invitational tournament in Norcross, Ga. Milton (Alpharetta, Ga.) beat Beach in the second day of the tourney, 66-50. Milton is ranked in the top five in the nation by several polls.
HOLY NAMES GIRLS WIN REMATCHTop-ranked
Holy Names Academy (Seattle) beat No. 4 Cleveland 63-59 in a rematch of last year's Class 3A state title game. Cleveland upset the Cougars last year in an all-Seattle matchup.
Erika Johnson had 15 points, 12 rebounds, seven blocks, four assists and four steals in the win.
VAN ACKEREN COMMITS TO HAWAII FOOTBALLBellevue safety
Kendrick Van Ackeren has committed to Hawaii, the Seattle Times reports. Van Ackeren quarterbacked Bellevue to the Class 3A state football title.
LAKES' BANNER WILL PLAY IN 2012 ALL-AMERICAN BOWLLakes lineman
Zach Banner will play in the 2012 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. He was one of
21 juniors nationally to earn an early invitation for the game, which is
next January in San Antonio. Banner (6-9, 295) has been offered by a
dozen schools, including Washington, Notre Dame, Michigan, Nebraska and
USC. He told the Tacoma News Tribune several schools — such as
Washington, Washington State, LSU and Oregon — are open to letting him
play basketball and football.
TOP 5 PERFORMERS* Cody Shackett, Cascade Christian boys basketball: The senior scored a school-record 48 points as the top-ranked Cougars beat No. 9 Life Christian 80-63 in a Nisqually League showdown. Shackett was 20 of 40 from the field.
* Gary Bell, Kentridge boys basketball: The Gonzaga signee had 40 points as Kentridge beat Auburn Riverside 75-65.
* Brett Kingma, Jackson boys basketball: The Oregon signee hit 10 3-pointers en route to 43 points as Jackson beat Edmonds-Woodway 91-74.

Christine Kirkwood, Othello girls basketball: The two-time state javelin champ had 38 points, 22 rebounds and six assists as the Huskies beat Toppenish 76-61.
* Angela Woods, Edmonds Woodway girls basketball: The senior went over 1,000 career points as the Warriors beat Jackson 64-51.
