Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory is 5-0 against Indianapolis Shortridge since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Braves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Indianapolis Shortridge likes a good challenge.
Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory pushed their score all the way to 63 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 79-63 bruising from Cathedral. While losing is never fun, Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Cathedral is ranked sixth).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Quinn Warren, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Reis Butcher, who scored 13 points.
Even though Indianapolis Shortridge has not done well against Indianapolis Metropolitan recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Indianapolis Shortridge narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Indianapolis Metropolitan 49-47. The victory was just what Indianapolis Shortridge needed coming off of a 50-28 loss in their prior matchup.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 2-1 season records intact.
Everything came up roses for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory against Indianapolis Shortridge in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 58-28 win. Will Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory repeat their success, or does Indianapolis Shortridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
