IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) opened the 2017 season with a 27-14 road win over No. 14
Chandler (Ariz.) on Saturday.
The Ascenders got two touchdowns from
Noah Cain and
Trey Sanders added an 89-yard, fourth-quarter touchdown burst.
Ryker Brazerol put IMG on the board in the first quarter with a defensive score. IMG led 13-7 at the half.
The Ascenders travel to Corona (Calif.) next Saturday to face the No. 8 Huskies, who opened the season with a 63-21 win over Pittsburg (Calif.).
Running back Noah Cain supplied two touchdowns for IMG Acadmey in Saturday night's victory in Arizona.
