Eyabi Anoma would pick before Wednesday's Early Signing Day, all 20 thought he'd choose Alabama.
They were all correct.
The 6-foot-5, 230-pound senior from
St. Frances Academy (Baltimore) signed his national letter of intent to the Crimson Tide over 16 other Division I FBS schools who made him offers. The 5-star recruit is ranked the No. 7 player overall by 247Sports and No. 2 defensive end.
Of the 16 players who committed to Alabama before Wednesday, none were of the 5-star variety.
Wednesday marked the first early signing period for football. Roughly 80 percent of those who have made commitments are expected to sign over the next 72 hours. Those who don't can still sign during the regular period which begins Feb. 7.
