Getting a late start to the 2020 season doesn't seem to have impacted St. Joseph's Prep negatively. The Hawks showed they are still the team to beat in the Philadelphia Catholic League and the state as whole Saturday by dominating a showdown with No. 5 La Salle College 38-14.
Prep (2-0) led 38-0 at halftime thanks in part to three short touchdown runs by senior running back Noble House. Up next is Bishop Sycamore of Ohio, which is 0-6 and coming off a 56-6 loss to national No. 1 IMG Academy.
No. 2 Pine-Richland also continued to roll, beating North Hills 59-13. The Rams are averaging 50 points per game.
No. 20 Coatesville, No. 21 Nazareth and No. 24 Montoursville all experienced double-digit jumps in the rankings this week.
